DEPOSIT TAKING SERVICE

2.1. VND deposit:
Resident individual, organisation can deposit VND free of charge into account or transfer to a third party's account in or outside Vietcombank system.

2.2. Foreign banknotes deposit:
Vietcombank Hochiminh City Branch receive deposits of foreign banknotes such as USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, CAD, AUD, SGD, HKD, and THB.

• Service recipient:
  - Commercial banks
  - Companies: companies can deposit foreign banknotes in the following cases:

  (a) Deposit the unused banknotes after the business travel abroad.
  (b) The company is licensed by SBV to receive foreign banknotes.
  (c) The company received foreign banknotes from foreign partner for the sales of goods & services in special cases.

• Required documents:
  For (a):
  + deposit application bearing the company seal and authorised signature(s)
  + A copy of the previous corresponding withdrawal slip.

  For (b):
  + deposit application bearing the company seal and authorised signature(s)
  + A copy of the licence by SBV for receiving foreign banknotes.

  For (c):
  + deposit application from the foreign partner.
  + A confirmation letter or power of attorney indicating the authorised person to deposit for settlement of the sales contract.
  + Customs declaration on the foreign currency amount brought into Vietnam.
  + Sales contract and shipping documents.

Note: VCB HCM will consider whether the deposit could be made on a case-by-case basis.

2.3. Deposit in Traveller Cheque:
Vietcombank Hochiminh City Branch receive Traveller Cheque from commercial banks and economic entities for collection with recourse. The Traveller Cheques deposited by economic entities will be converted into Vietnam dong equivalence.
